Northwestern Region Conference

Student PSEA members were happy support the Northwest Region Board President, Jen Stevenson, and host the second annual Northwest Region Conference at Edinboro University. The morning started with keynote speaker Dr. Ashley Sullivan, discussing LGBTQ+ children and families with Student PSEA members. There were professional development courses ranging from STEM resources, politics in education, trauma informed teaching, and technology in classrooms. Atendees were able to choose two professional development presentations to attend, one before lunch and one after lunch.
To support the Political Action Committee for Education (PACE), region PACE chair, Linsey Dunham , and local PACE chair, McKenzie Ashbaugh worked together to create donation jars that were passed throughout the conference and placed in rooms where professional development occured. There was a raffle table with items from local businesses and book baskets with childrens books which were donated to benefit PACE.
